A learning environment reflective of its core values.

This new K-8 school consolidates students from three aging facilities into one robust building prepared for future growth. The A&E Design team, in collaboration with Integrus Architecture, designed a school to house primary, intermediate, and upper grade levels without compromising functional space. The school also emphasizes access to technology, improves safety and security, and increases curriculum offerings.

The school’s site strategy promotes efficient neighborhood traffic flow and blends the school with the adjacent church and associated clergy buildings.

A reception area at the entrance opens into the school’s “engine”; a commons that is instrumental in circulation and activities. The commons are adjacent to the chapel—a primary gathering space that reinforces the school’s ideology. With newly enhanced security in place, administration, music programs, and the gymnasium are all accessible through the commons.
